It's like saying you'll add less pebbles to ice cream.  It isn't going to make a difference and some people don't mind spitting them out, but biting on one every so often starts to grind on your nerves and you start to ask yourself what the purpose of the pebbles in your ice cream is.  Then you ask one of the owners of the store and they won't give you a straight answer.
