Credit bonus events are already far less effective than tank sale events.  You just have to look at how many people buy or use the tank during the event.  People who buy a tank... will eventually play it for enough games to research or elite it.  On the other hand people who play a tank during a credit event will at best play it for the few days of the event.
100% credit bonus events are barely enough to attract players depending on the tank.  50% (let alone 40% and 30%) will attract nobody to play. And the proof is highly visible by just playing this weekend... we barely saw any of the event tanks.  It would have been better to not even have that part of the event.
