Garbad, on Nov 20 2012 - 02:58, said: Thanks to WG posting replays before the tourney was over (lol?), we
knew exactly what SIMP would be running and where their scout/arty
liked to go. We knew they would run 3x 50 100, a VK28, and a Su-26.
We also knew SIMP's reputation for hard camping (like most teams
this late in the tourney). This shook things up for us, as the
light/arty allowed SIMP to camp and reset cap without risking an
unfavorable engagement. This meant that the tables turned -- this
round, we would be forced to fight on unfavorable terms or give
SIMP the ability to camp/draw at will.
Despite this, we had a fatal flaw -- hubris. We thought that if we simply mirrored their build, we could win based on player skill. We hadn't played the build, but despite this we loaded it up and rolled out. Almost immediately, their practice showed. We took hits early by tanks prezoomed, then lost the initiative. And three games in a row, when the press came, we made ragged charges into an opponent waiting for us with superior focus fire.

GeneralDirection: Good write-up, except... we didn't post the replays until after you
lost to S.I.M.P. The replays posted were from your battles against
them.
