The Chaffee credit nerf vs the T-50-2 and VK credit buff has already been rationalized by the fact that the Chaffee spends a lot more time actually killing things [and making credits] than the other two. With that in mind, this might make some sense. It still sucks, but its somewhat understandable.

GeneralDirection: Yes, the changes largely balance out the profitability of tanks. Right now the M4A3E8 and M4A3E2 for example earn ~30% more credits on average than the other tier 6 medium tanks, while also being cheaper to maintain.
