Do the Developers care?

View PostSteeltrap, on Aug 26 2011 - 02:31, said: So is that why the last matchmaking thread, with SHEDLOADS of suggestions and feedback, much of it constructive, plus a poll with near 700 votes, was deleted and replaced with a completely dismissive, lame arse piece of trash (doesn't even have the 'tweaked' matchmaker chart)? Which then got people 'warnings', the ONLY official involvement ever shown? Note the OP of that thread has reached -37 and counting.

GeneralDirection: As far as I'm aware, threads are not deleted. Instead, threads that may no longer be as relevant as before (like, say, a patch-specific feedback thread) are moved to the "Junkyard" forum. They may be locked once moved there, but they should not be fully deleted.
The thread you're speaking of -- assuming it's the patch-specific thread -- can be found here: http://forum.worldof...discussion-v65/

Quote What about the fact that there are topics that get deleted from the Dev Q&A thread with NO attempt to answer? I've had a perfectly policte, constructive one DELETED 10 TIMES. Even a simple "I'm sorry but we're not going to discuss that particular issue any further" would be better than the sheer, to be blunt, rudeness of deleting threads from a Q&A thread. Don't want to answer a stream of 'stupid' questions? Don't have the thread, or put rigorous control over it (and that one does have pretty strict moderation). But there should be NO WAY this sort of stuff should happen. I've even PM'd admin and other people asking about it politely. Guess what? No answer to those, either.

GeneralDirection: By this I assume you mean the "You Ask - We Reply!" thread? I'll follow up on why this happens. In some cases it may be due to the question already being asked.
