The team making less mistakes generally does the stomping, so it is a player influenced thing rather than some external factor. Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you. It is as it should be, and most enjoy the challenge variety dealt by MM in a random setting. If better teammates or easier enemies are your goal, there are Clans and clan battles (strongholds and such) that can put you on a solid team.

Elias_K_Grodin: I find that blow outs are usually a result of a few things:An aggressive push by the OPFOR that leads to one flank collapsing and the rest of the team caught in a crossfire A series of mistakes that leads to destruction of a handful of allied tanks early in the battle Overextending into the enemy flank causing that front to collapse followed by a swift counter-attack Early shootout resulting in the loss of multiple tanks on one side but not the other A push into the cap by multiple tanks + stubborn defense by OPFOR of capping vehicles  There are probably other examples but I find these to be the culprit of most lopsided defeats that I've been in. Best solution, advance with caution, cover your flanks, watch the minimap for enemy pushes towards your cap circle. "Victory was never in doubt. Its cost was." - Graves B. Erskine, United States Marine Corps
