It has been done and will continue to be done. I have been through MM, with good scores, even +4/-4 nevermind 2. But for me, these examples do not matter. It is not fair, and not healthy for the game. The game is not made up of me, players that are responsible, determined, obsessed with doing well. The game comprises in large part, 47-50% casual base, that frankly do not like +2/-2 MM. And even in my examples, the amount of effort and situational awareness, I have to constantly crunch when down 2 compared to 0-1 is ridiculous, for no real reward change. Yet the looming punishment that exists for misplays 2 tiers down is ruthless. And this is not something that people need to delve deep into, it is fairly easy to plainly see. +2/-2 is bad, very bad. And WG knows it is bad, and keeps throwing bones to inch close towards +1/-1 but never actually does it.  there is not one universe out there, that exists in that +1/-1  spread is bad. Even if you had to wait an extra 15-20% for battles. You'd be rewarded a huge increase in fairness, far outweighing the 15-20% time sink you pay forward.  279E, Chieftain, 260, 907 aren't farming stock grinding tier 8s. An  OI  or KV2 isn't flagrantly one-shot ing poor M5 stuart. Likewise, the other end bottom tiers in +1/-1 find it far more conducive to contribute. Less premium ammunition is used as well
