for marks of excellent requirements for SPGs, the damage reduction
is not nearly as much as what the whining on the forums would
suggest. I suspect that once players figure out the ammo types, the
average damage will increase, possibly to pre-1.13 values. In other
words, arty as a class requires more choice to play well. It makes
sense that the damage values are depressed, since arty players
likely take the longest to adapt to changes in their class's
mechanics. SPGs went from having essentially zero gameplay choices
to having three. Anyway, to the arty players out there, if
you don't like the changes, you can go play Blitz. I don't think
the changes are as bad as you think they are. Adapt and overcome.Draschel: The second shell type, I can see it. I really have no idea
what the complaining is about, arty potential has increased. Has it
increased to former 9.17 levels, I doubt it. But you never know,
because accuracy, aim-time, dispersion buffs now can compensate for
the raw damage. I know I'd definitely be hated by many to say the
least, but I think artillery should have had more reductions. The
second shell type, should be -10% the 9.12 stun shell damage. The
new stun shell, should be -25% the former 9.12 stuns shell. The
anti-armor penetrator ammo they are provided, should have the tank
max ranges of 702m In addition to this, the patch should
have also discernably, resolutely buffed spall liners, to actually
provide clear HE resistance. The second shell,
really is a great compromise that people would be fool not to use.
It does not offer the damage or penetration of pre 9.17, but
interestingly enough does offer increased splash. I believed SU8
had 3.78, now it is 4.00, a noticed 5% increase. Compared to
the stun shell? You gain far more than 5% in damage and
penetration. The griefers, who want to stun people, (allies
mostly) will suffer considerably in DPG, which sI am grateful
for. I would ahve liked harsher penalties for team stun times
though
