Draschel: Yes, the MBT triangle. A weighed balance between armor
protection, firepower, and mobility. The problem is, it
doesn't really apply in entirety to Wot, unlike MBT we see being
used worldwide. For starters, firepower subcategories differ
drastically, a Super Conqueror may have excellent firepower, but in
situations where DPM, aim-time, accuracy aren't necessary the
firepower of something radically different like 60 TP and VK72
maybe far more useful. So there isn't a clear definition, of what
is required in the firepower category. Again, in mobility, tanks
like Chieftain, WZ1115A, T110E5 certainly seem very mobile for
heavy tanks, and often skip out on turbocharger upgrades for things
like ventilation / hardening / rammer / stabilizer Etc. And then
get surprised by tanks you'd never expect as mobile like T57, 705A,
AMX54, running gas + turbocharger, which essentially make them fast
heavies. And then armor, what is armor exactly? Thick slabs like
Maus or E100 or VK4502 (P) B? Or sleek angular, thick enough,
weakness-less hulls like 268V4, IS7, 279E. Hard to imagine, a tank
like 215B actually has an upper glacis stronger than 705 and 113,
yet everyone knows 113 and 705 have drastically better armor than a
215B. Because of their agility, dynamics in being able to more
effectively adapt and MOVE their armor, to being useful. Again, the
MBT balance triangle of firepower, armor, mobility can't be used to
describe world of tanks balance, because of all the subcategories
in each side. And your post totally ignores protection elements, in
the subcategory of armor, such as dynamics / camo / HP / size. A
Tog has minimal, tier V armor, yet can face punch a substantial
amount of tier 7s nevermind 6s, simply because of its HP. A
subcategory of armor, which the tank is what.....armored? You are
applying a schematic with very little application, yet lots of
rigidity. Mobility dominates, because of flexibility.
You can appear, and reappear. You can vie for map control, or
change flanks, or flee and live to fight another day. Heavy tanks,
usually find this ahrd to do. And the ones that can do it, are more
popular than the ones that cannot. A Maus, T95, E100, Jag Pz,
Tortoise typically ahve no choice but to pick a flank with an
educated guess, or rely on most preferred flank, and go there
hoping for the best. Entirely map dependent. They fight and die
there. But something like 110E5, 113, 260 can still use their
armor, yet can influence all corners of the map each game they
play, because they can move. Armor can dominate, sure if every map
you play is Ensk. But not every map you play is
Ensk. You called 277 a tank with a mediocre gun.
lol Position is a counter to armor. Speed is a counter to
armor. Camo is a counter to armor. Tracking are a counter to
armor. Maps are a counter to armor. Your point? Dude, it is
obvious, you have very little understanding of this. It isn't an
attack, bub. There are others in this thread, thinking the same
thing. They are just thinking: Too Lazy Won't Respond. And give you
a simple sentence instead. Keep on thinking what you wish. But it
is nonsense. Higher than most people, means very little.
Actually, all I see is some one trapped in 2013 play, or the brief
time Maus and Type 5 were nutty -17-18. And which thinks the blue
standards of then is acceptable now. That is fine, if you think it
is fine. But someone who clearly knows the game, and competes to a
high level, will think that is laughable. You have in your Top 10
tanks, 8500 games in armored, to semi-armored vehicles. Which
outweight the 3500 you have in WZ132, Flip W, and Leo. My guess is
someone who tries his best, yet has to settle for constant
mediocrity, and constantly getting irritated by being penetrated by
gold ammunition. You think whatever you want
bub.
