Doing well with just AP, and using your armor.

Draschel: Alot of people complain that armor sucks and means crap, gold flies through the air here and there, AP is useless. All that stuff.But just take a real deep breath folks, and try to understand things. Work on fundamentals, rather than quick to blame. Here is a clip of an excellent show of force, using just AP. AP can still work. He blocked 10 hits. Does firing all APCR help? Sure it does, no downsides other than cost. But is it necessary in a public battle? Heck no.In CW I get it, a costly bounce from AP compared to APCR can mean a win or loss, but in pubs? Work on position. Position is the great equalizer. Where you show dominion over your enemy, regardless of your skill or your foe's. Where you get your armor to work for you, even if your foe is shooting gold. And position affords you the luxury and/or safety to be able to advantageously/casually even use AP, rather than resorting to gold. And where even if the enemy resorts to gold, you still have the upper hand. And this is why war-gaming is constantly out to counter artillery. HE. That's what these nerfs are truthfully about. Because artillery, HE counter position. And that is bad for game health. When someone has position over you, they are -outplaying- you, by game definition, mechanics, usefulness. You shouldn't have a get out of jail card in your hand. Rather, you need to learn about position and strengths and weaknesses  yourself.
