DomoSapien: Well, the SH is mostly my event and I do most of the work involved
soooooo....
Kidding! A lot of people worked diligently to ensure that everything went smoothly with the Scavenger Hunt this time around. Glad to hear we finally nailed it with the formula! See? We listen. All of the improvements to the format were made directly in response to feedback that all you amazing people left us for previous iterations.
The Scavenger Hunt will unfortunately be going back on a 1-month hiatus in the month of June so that we can focus our efforts on Tankrewards and examine Scavenger Hunt data to see if we're still hitting the metrics we want to be hitting with this event. I'd also like to explore the possibility of incorporating the Scavenger Hunt into a separate tab in the Tankrewards UI, so that players can track their codes and claim their rewards without needing to log into the game client, but at this time I genuinely don't know if that's possible or not. There are also a few aspects of the Scavenger Hunt I'd like to formalize/standardize a bit more, because giving contributors free reign over how they run their code formats has invited some toxic behavior in the form of people jumping into the channels and immediately demanding the code well before the scheduled code drop time. The whole point of the event is to help grow their channels, and reward players for engaging with World of Tanks content outside of the game client. If we're not accomplishing that goal with the event, we need to re-evaluate and figure out what we can do to address this. TL;DR - Thank you! We couldn't have nailed the format without all of the feedback that our amazing player community provided us. The changes and improvements were made as a direct result of your feedback and we hope to keep making it better and better.
I hope to see all of you guys participating in the Scavenger Hunt in July!
