time to find codes outside of the game client. We have had about
15,000 participants in each Scavenger Hunt so far. If we're
being completely frank, the Scavenger Hunt is really simple with a
very basic level of effort. I saw several Scavenger Hunt threads on
the forums being updated daily with the codes that were being
dropped, and /u/Penultimatum on Reddit was kind enough to have a
master thread going with Scavenger Hunt codes for the February
Scavenger Hunt that he updated daily with links as well as the
codes themselves. Bookmarking a page then checking it once a
day before logging into WoT is definitely a bit inconvenient, but I
wouldn't say that it amounts to "scouring" the internet for
codes.
By design, it's supposed to be really difficult: you need to tune in at the right time, and stick around to find out where to go next. In reality, however, you could get all the codes pretty easily without visiting a single Contributor's channel.
