The words themselves aren't resulting in the sanctions, but rather the frequency at which they are being used. If it's interfering with gameplay, just like flooding chat with map pings, it's sanctionable. Even if the whole team has the profanity filter enabled you're still flooding chat with a bunch of asterisks.
