There is no box that comes up and asks us what to say when we take down the server. "Scheduled Maintenance" for all intents and purposes as far as server status is concerned, means that the server was manually taken down by someone as opposed to randomly crashing. It's a predetermined message which we have no immediate control over.
I do understand that it can be confusing and as always am happy to pass on that bit of feedback, however at the time getting the immediate technical issues fixed took a bit of priority over making sure that the downtime message is articulated properly.
