That's a very good question. I would recommend contacting the EU Support Team, not so much for account deletion but just to inquire for more details regarding whether or not an existing Wargaming.net ID with the same email address on the EU server would create a conflict with any potential Server Transfer offers as a result of the merge.

DomoSapien: Definitely make sure you run a Pingplotter and fill out the
survey. To my knowledge, one of the goals of moving to a
Centralized server was picking a location that is a major network
hub because many ISP's have existing infrastructure in place to
ensure efficient routing to these types of locations. Ideally this
should mitigate packet loss, not increase it.
