DeviouslyCursed:  Of course you don't need scientific measurements to feel obvious things like the average temperature dropping 40 degrees or the leaves turning color. And what happens if you do measure it? It's clear and obvious in the scientific instruments also. If you feel it's hotter in your house but the thermostats says it is the exact same temperature as always, the issue is with you. Your house has not conspired against you. You can test it with another temperature gauge if you think the thermostat is broken. Common sense says that when the other temperature gauge also shows the same temperature as always it should confirm the issue is with you. But not you conspiracy guys. No, you check it with another gauge and when it shows the same temperature, you say "I knew it! This confirms the conspiracy against me! And this proves it goes further than I thought!"
