DeviouslyCursed: Oh wonderful "The Great Patent" rears it's ugly head again. If
you quote this patent as proof of rigging, or think the patent
involves rigging the game for wins and losses for players, you are
a complete moron. You don't understand what it says. You don't
understand what it would actually do. This is why people call you
an idiot, because you completely lack the ability to think things
through. I fully expect most of you who this applies to won't read
past this. Part because you won't understand the rest anyway, and
part because the same deficiency in thinking that prevents you from
understanding the patent, also prevents you from ignoring insults.
You get all butthurt and what little thinking capacity you did have
is now gone. Go ahead, prove me right. But if you actually
want to learn... The most important thing to realize: Higher
battle tier for your tank means you are bottom tier in the match.
Lower battle tier for your tank means you are top tier in the
fight. The part of the patent you are quoting is stating that
as a person starts winning more battles, the battle tier goes up;
ie they are more likely to be placed in the max battle tier for
their tank. That means they will be bottom tier tank more often in
the fight. If you are losing and keep losing, you are more likely
to be placed in a low battle tier for your tank, so therefore be
top tier more often. So, what is the problem with this and why
wasn't it implemented? Easy: It would work for a good player, but
would have the opposite effect for a bad player. Good players
win more when they are top tier because they can carry. Being
placed top tier after losing will help them win. Being bottom tier
is harder to carry, so being placed bottom tier after winning a lot
would work also as they will win less of these matches. But
bad players don't work that way. Bad players as top tier are more
likely to lose. What's the worst situation you can have when you
look at the skill for your team? Tomatoes at the top. Bad news. So
under the patent, bad players would keep getting placed top tier in
battles, and then they'd keep losing and therefore be even more
likely to be placed top tier, and still keep losing. The patent has
the opposite effect on them. Same thing with being bottom tier. Of
the games they do win it is more likely when they are in bottom
tier because the team is not relying on them to be a
factor. Someone at WG noticed this issue, or maybe they just
decided never to implement it, but it is not in the game. It has
never been as far as I can tell. When I heard about it I kept track
of my games over many days, and win streak, loss streak, or
something in the middle, it didn't matter. I was still bottom
roughly 1/3, top 1/3, and middle 1/3. WG did say they had
something where if you were bottom tier a lot the MM would start
trying to place you middle or top, and vice versa, as you
were supposed to have roughly 1/3 games each top/middle/bottom.
This definitely went away with templates though, and may have gone
away even before that. TL/DR : There is nothing in the patent
about manipulating games to cause wins or losses. If you think
otherwise, it is because you have some serious intellectual
deficiencies. It's probably best you leave the thinking and
important decisions to others in your life.
