DeviouslyCursed: I would argue that with games like Magic: The Gathering, the
"setup" is part of the game. If you don't enjoy that part, you
won't be playing anything like it very long. It's not like people
think "Man, building a deck sucks!, But the matches are so fun!" A
better argument would be a board game that takes substantial time
to setup and put away. The game has to be worth that time,
otherwise it doesn't get played. Yes, if you like something or
not is subjective. But the fix you are requesting to something you
don't like is often NOT subjective. The fix either will, or will
not, change the issue you are having, and in that regard numbers
are the thing that is going to show which one it will be. If you
don't like blowout matches, you need to be looking at game play
elements, not MM. And good luck getting rid of them.

DeviouslyCursed: Yes, go back to making heavies, mediums, and tds not balanced
number wise between teams. I loved the fights when we had more
mediums and enemy had lots of heavies. My team would cry "Waah!
This is BS! Look at all their heavies! Waah!". I'd say "shut the
hell up and watch us win this, p**** " and we'd proceed to
wolf-pack the s*** out of the enemy team. Man those battles were
fun. In fact, I don't recall losing a single match where we had
lots of meds and they had lots of heavies at tier 7+ But this
would just make the whiners whine even more, so....
