I think the skill level in the leagues is beginning to increase. and I think its unfair to punish a half decent team to bronze league when they don't necessarily deserve it.

Captain_Judo:   The skill level has definitely increased. And this is a great thing. We can't make changes during the season, but we're noting the increased competition for the next.

Teams ranked 3rd-6th do get the added bonus of going into a relegation match against a golden league team, but if you are mostly interested in the gold payouts... yeah Bronze and Silver reward structures are messed up. It seems the redistribution of gold into the golden league was not consistent between silver and bronze.

Captain_Judo:   Correct, 3rd - 6th get matched against this season's Gold League teams for a berth in next season's Gold League. The Gold League now awards gold to teams finishing in the bottom half of the table. By winning your relegation battle against a gold league team, you're guaranteed a minimum 50k gold for the next season.   The real issue here is that In the past, we've had too many (strong) teams get comfortable and settle in this league. It became apparent that not all teams were in this league for the competition of reaching the highest level. And this reward structure is an attempt to undercut that. This hasn't been an issue in any other league than the Silver.
