common, but what do I know?Captain_Judo: Best of 5 (or 7) is appropriate for MLB, NBA, NHL playoffs as there
are no draws. But it's not feasible in our case because of draws.
If we stuck to "best of 5" then a team can only be declared winner
after securing three victories. Again, since we allow draws, "best
of 5" would only leave many games inconclusive after 5 battles.

with WG on this occasion - I see no legit way to resolve this.
W&P played correctly according to the posted rules, while
everyone else played to 3 wins. Good luck with this one, WG.Captain_Judo: Definitely wasn't our intention to create confusion. The Kong Fu
vs. Gentleman Gaming battle correctly capped after 2 victories.
In the other games, the winners are clear with one exception. WAR & Peace are determined as winners of their match as they were the first team to claim two victories.

the last one.~ WGNA presents rules in a convoluted matter and leave it to the player's own interpretation. When the community has to help each other interpret and understand the rules you definitely know that something is wrong. Its been stated numerous times that we as players want clarity and transparency when it comes to rules you expect us to play by. If players can provide a clearer interpretation of the rules than WGNA, then consider letting players volunteer their time to making sure such matters are taken care of before they are officially posted. Rules need to be continuous from one season to the next.
~ Update the standing the day following the rounds. Sorry, but updates once a week just do not cut it if you expect NA esports to be taken seriously. Since the updates pile up, you have errors that in this case screwed over 1 team and threw the other one into the playoffs with possibly less awareness and preparation. Once again, if WGNA can't provide this in a timely fashion then let players volunteer their time to taking care of this. We already spend time looking over the standings prior to the updates to get a sense of where we are and what we must do.
~ More of a technicality, but when scheduling matches on the same map twice make sure each team starts on different sides. To be clear, say round 1 was on Steppes and you started on the south spawn. Then in round 7 you play on Steppes again, but this time you start on the north spawn. We all know that spawns are not even on maps, and having to start multiple times from a worse spawn can and should be avoided. This would make scheduling more difficult, but would be a step in the right direction to giving teams equal chances.
If WGNA doesn't have the time or the resources to give esports the attention it needs to properly develop and flourish without constant issues, then strongly consider letting players volunteer their time. I'm sure many of us would gladly help out, just for the sake of helping a smoothly run League with minimal issues. At the end of the day all of us want the same thing, a fair, smoothly operating League(s).
Captain_Judo: Thanks for posting your thoughts.
This season may bring up similar concerns. Similarly, there were also issues experienced last season that we successfully avoided. With that said, we want to improve league play each season and, as I'm sure you're familiar with Monster, we're certainly not immune to criticism :)
Your thoughts aren't lost, Monster. Unfortunately, we have no control over spawn points. The only solution for that is, like WGLNA, removing dependence on special battles.
As far as updating standings, we would be delighted to have volunteers assist. This occurred several times last season in forum posts and it was an absolute pleasure to see. Keep in mind that standings are only officially updated after draw appeals and disputes are reviewed.
