December Community Update

Can you believe 2018 is almost over? Time sure goes quicker as you get older. I've been enjoying the perfect weather here in Texas (finally), and getting some good motorcycle rides in on the weekend. We've been busy making plans for 2019, and there's a lot to get excited about (tanks stuff too, not just Hootie and the Blowfish getting back together). No updates yet on most of the exciting things we talked about last month (Frontlines, MM changes etc), but steady progress is being made and we'll see both in 2019. In the meantime, we have some other cool stuff going on:
Well-Deserved Reward + Advent Calendar I'm assuming most of you have seen our loving Wes Anderson tribute and received your holiday rewards by now. I hope those of you who received them are enjoying your T-50-2's! I'm thrilled to finally have acquired a badge (Beta) so now I don't feel left out on the score screen.
Advent Calendar is up and running, with the cool new twist that you can buy the daily deal with Gold. Exciting deals all month! Some of you will also have noticed that we once again have the following year (2019) attached, please don't @ me about it - it's intentional and related to the Orthodox celebration of Christmas in January.
The New Years event will be kicking off in a few weeks, if you liked the last few years you'll like this one too!
From the Forge
Thank you to everyone who sent in your awesome projects to be considered for our From the Forge contest! So much cool stuff from so many talented people across several disciplines - including a Minecraft Mod! If you make anything tank related consider entering December's contest by e-mailing your entry (anything tank related that you create) to From_The_Forge@wargaming.net for a chance to win premium tanks and other prizes.
Sheriff Event
More details to come, but the weekend of December 14th-16th we're going to round up the posse and head out into the queue to give away some gold to players who kill Sheriff accounts. We may consider deputizing some of you if enough fine upstanding members of the community show interest.
Winter Challenge
Still a week left to work on earning that SU-130PM! It'll be on sale until the 13th, best of luck with your grinds.
Patch 1.3
Coming later this month - mostly a maintenance patch with changes to the Excalibur campaign to make it easier, several maps, some PM 1.0 reward vehicles, and a nice update to the customization system that will give you a lot more freedom with large-scale decals.
