A new forum era is dawning, and it starts with my introduction as your new Community Coordinator. Over the rest of the week and moving forward I will be hanging out here with you guys and performing a remodel so we can make this place the best it can be. As of now I am personally accepting all suggestions and feedback related to the improvement of the forums (PM away!) - I'm looking forward to working with you guys!
In this thread, let's stick to my least favorite topic - myself. Feel free to ask me any questions, game related or otherwise, and I will respond as best I am able. Here's some general Q&A to kick off:
What's your World of Tanks background? I have been an avid gamer for decades and military vehicle games have always been a favorite genre. I was a beta tester for WoT, WoWP, and WoWS before joining Wargaming a few years ago. I am a fairly casual WoT player, but I have played my share of Strongholds and am constantly working to improve my skills.
What is your history with Wargaming?
I have been at Wargaming for about 2 years. I started out mostly handling Rules Violations in CS and transferred to Community a few months ago. I have been working on World of Tanks: Blitz and now I'm making the jump to PC.
Why is your name so weird? "Cabbage Mechanic" is an old Royal Navy term for a bad cook. I too am a bad cook.
Why is your WN8 such garbage?
Because I need to git gud What have you done with dance210?
Dance is still awesome and still here at WGA
Do you play arty?
No.
What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Peach.
What's your favorite tank line?
British or American mediums.
What did you do before Wargaming? I was previously a Special Ed. Teacher, an in-home tutor, a snow shoveler, a stable boy, a library assistant, a mechanic shop assistant, a truck unloader, an auto parts delivery driver, and a bouncer. Not necessarily at the same time or in that order.
What other games do you play?
Currently: PUBG, iRacing, Injustice 2, DOOM
How many roads must a man walk down? 42. How is GIF pronounced? Soft G. MeatheadMilitia and I argue this topic on a near daily basis. He and most of the rest of the office are Hard G supporting scoundrels. Obviously, I was thus brought in to try and improve the culture.
What's the coolest thing you've ever done? I was a Dog Handler at the 2012 Iditarod.
Waffles or Pancakes? Cake or Pie?
Waffles, Pie. Cheesecake is a pie which is the deciding factor.
How big is your Steam Library?
Way, way too big.
