The KV class tanks get a new lease on life

ARGO: Back in the early days of WoT "Before the Wipe" any of you who went
up the Russian heavy tree eventually became aquainted with the KV
tank series. KV / KV2 / KV3 / KV1S and for a lot "including myself"
it was arguous, Time consuming, mostly not fun at least until you
got to KV3. Sure you had the famed 107mm and the infamous 152mm
Derp cannon but something never really seemed right with the KVs.
My personal belief is that the KV in WoT was always that kid on
your block growing up that was always to little to hang around with
the big kids and too big to hang around the little kids. Basically
it was the "cusp" tank between slow and greatness, anyone I used to
talk to saw the KV tanks as a stepping stone or had that "Just
passing through" mentality but as of the past patch I have really
noticed some serious changes in the use of the KV tanks and with
the addition of the KV13 and balancing system it seems KVs have
become popular among players including myself. Since the patch KVs
now for the most part now go into battles they can do well in
rather than those days of being dragged into a Maus / IS7 face off.
I have since the wipe got another chance to re-visit this tank
series and am really starting to be won over by there appeal as a
good descent low end heavy tank. This time I tried a KV1S and found
it to be fun and fast for a KV tank. I am now working toward a KV13
which shows great promise of also being a nice addition to the
garage and a good little medium. Another peice of proof that KVs
are winning back players is that for the 1st time since I have been
playing I now hear a lot of players saying the the KV is OP....Wow
I still laugh when I here it but in a way it's nice to see the KVs
getting a little love good or bad. I suggest that you all give the
series a try, with the choices you now have there is most likely a
KV tank that can fit your fight style.
