attention to sector D5 - except I'm getting that from a dead
teammate spec'ing a live one thats out of radio range - the point
of radio range is whether you can or cannot see what your teammates
see. If you've got a low tier radio, you don't 'see' as far, and
theres an incentive to upgrade. That to me is cheating - a
work-around for the limited radio range restriction - though nice
point about the tank being dead but the tankers living. Still, it
seems less like a WWII battlefield and more like a game of
Shadowrun, where your mage is sending spirits to recon.
I also really hate advice from the dead. Oh, you should move to D5, why are you sitting there, noob? You should go to A2, thats where they've got their aty. lolnoob!
Heres a different perspective - when I play CounterStrike, we have an open mic - we're all friends, so we like to chat even while we're killing each other. Passing information to teammates is incredibly difficult, as is not revealing where you are to your opponent - and maybe that's why I'm getting annoyed - there's no such thing as radio discipline in this game. You have to watch your mouth with an open mic, and the new guy, the little brother of one of our players, has often died because he inadvertently gave away his position. That said, when I'm dead, I don't pass on any information whatsoever to any live player - and I can spec both teams - I'll compliment awesomeness, but unless its a bot, and the bot is doing something like getting stuck in a loop, I'll keep my mouth shut. I'm dead, this isn't a damn seance.
