Would people like battles to last longer?

I had a thought why not double all tanks hitpoints but leave gun damage as it is? This would help battles last bit longer and give some tanks bit more tactical usage than they have now would also stop being one shotted by arty and stop people complaining about arty a bit.
What do you guys think?
