Traditional German and Russian dishes

ARGO: I love sausages and saur kraut, But I am sure I do not prepare it in traditional German fashion. Anyone out ther in Germany or abroad know the proper way to prepare it?
Also I really have little idea what a good traditional Russian dish would be, Can someone out there give a good one and a recipe?
