I think that's technically impossible to attack a province of a different front, as those kinda work as own Eco-systems (with their rule-set and format).
Also I think that the lower income on tier VIII and the face that you have to decide between the fronts still prevents bigger and more experienced clans from just running over the tier VIII map.
