Team Clash 2021: The Final Push with Twitch Drops

L0rd_0f_War, on 06 February 2021 - 12:58 AM, said: Lol... I didn't think anyone was actually 'watching' every min of those 3 day long streams... I do watch maybe an hour a day during some breaks, letting it run in the background. The issue is, whether you actually watch a stream or just Let it run, WG should publish the chances of Epic Drops.
eekeeboo: There were many people who were, the difference being those people
are not there just for free stuff. Drop chance won't change your or
any other persons attitude to why they watch the
content.
Sir_Captain_Death, on 06 February 2021 - 09:58 AM, said: I also have watched several hundreds hours on last few twitch drops
campaigns from this year and last year, and did not got any "not
guaranteed" prize. Its not a fair system. Its a bad version of
RNG. it's frustrating. Sorry, i tried. For real.
Im done. Good luck to alleekeeboo: It's not a bad version of RNG, it's just RNG like any system on
luck, it's never "fair". You can try to win at luck, but it won't
happen, sometimes you just need to pray.
Masinmees, on 06 February 2021 - 03:04 PM, said: Droprates are probably so low that if they would release it, nobody
would bother to watch streams for drops anymore eekeeboo: The point exactly, you should want to watch streams and enjoy
getting drops, if you don't enjoy watching streams, no matter what
you put in and how much you put in drops, people will complain it's
not enough for their time.
OlieBollenBatser, on 07 February 2021 - 10:34 AM, said: in other words its a JOKE!!! and even Dez with his hours and
hours of streaming and watching got nothing! eekeeboo: "epic drops not guaranteed" is still real, no matter how much you
watch it is not a matter of fact certainty you will receive an epic
drop. The guaranteed stuff you could get was aplenty and be found
elsewhere.
il_prete, on 07 February 2021 - 10:57 AM, said: Nope, it's click bait. And when the same ccs that are streaming say it it's even more disappointing. Too easy cap the commander drop at 4h or more, better alienate the viewers and the streamers all day long.
But hey, it's 10 years that feedback doesn't matter to this company.
eekeeboo: Read above and see for yourself. The whole point of the event is to
promote them and encourage people to watch them. I advise you to
check out the publicly available analytics of those channels and
see for yourself what impact it had. People who want only free
stuff for little will always be alienated by a company who wants to
make money or not give away too much to people who do not want to
support the game more than playing it. Listening to feedback does
not mean a person has to act on it, there is a clear and
fundamental difference and you should manage your expectations
accordingly. What a player wants for free stuff does not align with
a company who wants to make money.
Sir_Captain_Death, on 07 February 2021 - 02:31 PM, said: 20 hours? That is nothing! Look at the previous pages. You
will find people with several hundreads of hours on
all previous campaigns and never one epic dropeekeeboo: Each campaign is different, this is luck and RNG. Just because you
watched every second of every previous campaign does not increase
your luck and chance this one. Not guaranteed, does mean, quite
literally that.
terminator_hr, on 07 February 2021 - 06:26 PM, said: "After watching for 60 minutes: a chance to get one or even all of
the following bundles. The more you watch, the better your chance!"
....one or even all..... that is what is called lying...It is very simple.... Epic drops do not exist...
eekeeboo: Read people in this thread yourself that proves
otherwise.
novusim, on 07 February 2021 - 07:33 PM, said: If you don't like the streams, don't watch them just for the drops.
Cause they are just a typical WG marketing BS. As per WG
playbook, the epic drops' drop rate is infinitesimal. Just enough
that some people are vocally happy, rest can just keep chasing that
effing rainbow.eekeeboo: The drops system with epic chance is pretty consistent with every
game anywhere that does non guaranteed items. And like you started
saying, if you watch just for drops, if you have a ferrari in it,
you could give 500/2000 people away and some people would
still call it fake and a waste of time because they didn't get one
and it's not worth their watch time.
Codename_Jelly, on 07 February 2021 - 08:44 PM, said: Whole RNG drop this is just complete horse****, last time this was
done I pretty much had stream up from start til end and I tried to
enjoy streams as I usually do whilst hoping for commander but it
made the streams annoying to watch with all the people that kept
continuously bitching about not getting one. The chances at
getting one take the **** and ive not missed a stream where this
has been a chance at dropping and not got one and im not too
bothered about it personally as I have like 10 recruits in backlog
but the RNG system is just crap and should just award one
regardless after a certain amount of time if nothing else but to
stop everyone every 5 seconds droning on about not getting one
after watching the stream for 5x longer than they have been
streaming total you have been able to get one. 20:46 Added after 2
minute Honestly during these stream events it makes me not want to
watch the streamers because thats all you hear in chat How
do I get drops Been watching 50 hours (when its not even been half
that that its been available) and not got a commander yet Why am I
not getting commander ^^^ You literally cannot go a minute
without this. 20:47 Added after 3 minute Fine by me, won't have too
many people droning on about it in the streams themselves, pretty
sure the streamers themselves are getting tired of it.eekeeboo: Honestly during these stream events it makes me not want to watch

sure the streamers themselves are getting tired of it. This i do
completely sympathise with how it can affect the quality of chat,
but this is Twitch and is a natural thing that happens in any big
chat of any streamer and requires elaborate work to combat it. The
unfortunate thing is that instead of appreciating the promotion and
work going into promoting the streamer and cheering on that they've
got strong viewership, people just demand more free
stuff. 09:07 Added after 9 minute
Fubaman, on 07 February 2021 - 10:05 PM, said: It's ridiculous how wargaming attracts a lot of people in order to
increase the number of views on the platform, you just need to
create a reward that no one can get. If we used such methods in
other companies we could say that it is a scam. More than 200 hours
of streaming and nothing since we can get "a commander". Nice
scamgaming.eekeeboo: This is not true, you can see such non guaranteed giveaways used in
many companies, and those require a purchase to enter. This simply
requires you to watch a streamer you may only discover or whom you
already watch. You literally get something for free with guaranteed
drops, then a chance at something for free for watch time. This is
not a scam, I ask you to search the definition of such, thank
you.
Great_Shoggoth, on 07 February 2021 - 10:46 PM, said: Same here. Watched skill and Dezgamez for more than 20
hours during this weekend - nothing but guaranteed drops. Watching
these guys play was useful in some way (they have great skills
after all), but not for 20+ hours. Let's call it a paid lesson for
the future - don't go after WG PR promos - it is not worth it at
all. WG, just release these commanders with 1 zero skill for
gold - everybody will be happy. You will get gold out of players
pockets and those who want will get commanders with voice overs.eekeeboo: It is not about the number of skills, but about the commanders
appearance and voicelines themselves. This has very clear and
particular legal ramifications for the future doing such a thing
and it will only happen once things have been considered and
proceeded with very carefully.
Kuratovsky, on 07 February 2021 - 11:01 PM, said: It obviously works, twitch viewer counts just skyrocket every time this happens. The most interesting aspect for me in this is the impact on how ad systems are perceived. Many of the viewers aren't actually watching, they just let the stream run in the background. These are artificial views that offer no chance for ad vendors to earn anything. Before this point people I think had no good reason to let the stream go without actually watching it, so if the platform registered an ad being viewed, it more or less meant that it actually reached someone. I believe the whole economy behind ad revenues was designed keeping this assumption in mind. With twitch drops, however, this assumption is no longer true. I truly wonder how this change will affect the underlying processes and monetary interests.
eekeeboo: Like any advertising, you won't keep all the "fish" you caught,
some will swim away like they would always, but there's a chance
they will stick around having now put visibility of those streamers
in the spotlight of the "fish" and give them a chance to discover
new "fish" to swim with and play the game with.
Sir_Captain_Death, on 07 February 2021 - 11:10 PM, said: If its so hard to this offer, imagine if the epic drop was a
"premium tank"eekeeboo: We tried that too, and you can't give too many of those away and
still had the same attitudes.
RedJester, on 08 February 2021 - 08:13 AM, said: Though I did get the AEG commander drop literally an hour into the
stream I had running on the first day I concur pretty much with the
sentiment of people on this thread. It was my first ever drop after
so many streams and lord knows how many hours. It was nice to
finally get one but I do believe Wargaming it would be in your
interests to up the drop rate for everyone. Is it so hard to be
generous to your loyal player base and give them a little treat now
and again? Especially after some people here say they have watched
100 hours + in streams and got no epic drops. eekeeboo: I'm not sure if i replied to you above or someone with a very
similar name, giving a drop chance just has people calculating
watch time to maximise their % drop chance per view time, not
understanding how luck and RNG works. The issue here is not the
drop chance, but the reason some people watch streams and setting
expectations and managing entitlement to free stuff. If you watch
for goodies only, it doesn't matter how much or what you give,
someone will complain it's not enough, not often enough and not
worth it. I know people who say they watched 100 hours during a
weekend of drops of only 3 days, people opening up 20 tabs of
streamers to maximise watch time (when it's explained that's not
how it works). Unfortunately with moments like this, people are
very prone to hyperbole.
guest273, on 08 February 2021 - 08:42 AM, said: Has anyone here in the forum actually ever gotten an epic (not
guaranteed drop) ?eekeeboo: Read above a few replies
Final_Eclipse, on 08 February 2021 - 11:48 AM, said: NOeekeeboo: Also read above you, there are numerous.
terminator_hr, on 08 February 2021 - 04:22 PM, said: yea, well, I watched all streams since Christmas, dozens of hours.... not a single one epic drop, so I am done wasting my time
eekeeboo: Please read above how % chance does not accumulate the more you
watch and the more epic drops you try to
get.
