TankkiPoju, on 21 February 2019 - 10:12 AM, said: I already have a girlfriend. But srsly, it's not
possible to get chat banned just because people report you, even if
you dont say anything?eekeeboo: No because the chat ban will you trigger a review and
if your chat log is empty, there's nothing to be looked through,
whereas if you're spamming chat with pinging, this will come
up.
peregrine, on 21 February 2019 - 10:23 AM, said: That is a nice joke, since according to your fellow cms
single unsportsmanlike conduct reports won't do anything. We
have been through this already when people got mass banned for
false reports. And lets be honest how many people see you getting
pushed by these bots? But hey if I close my eyes and no one
is using toxic words anymore everything is fine.eekeeboo: I didn't say a single report would do, that's why i said
reports and not report. The mass ban for false reports happened a
long time ago and was fixed, I know because I was one of those who
was banned frequently and I was one of those who sent replays of
every game to prove I had done nothing, said nothing and behaved in
no false way. And for getting pushed by bots, it may be a good idea
to send the replay if it's particular abuse circumventing the
system already at least it triggers. Just because one thing is an
issue and you don't see punishment, doesn't mean the other thing
shouldn't be punished as it's still an issue.
TungstenHitman, on 21 February 2019 - 10:59 AM, said: You mean like when a player doesn't use toxic language and
simply calls another player an idiot when their clearly being an
idiot, this is all it takes to get banned? What age group is this
game aimed at? If only it were that simple, yet in reality this is
a game in which you have players either accidentally or
purposefully casing teammates problems and so to call that griefer
an idiot is fairly tame and justified. We've all seen or
experienced being pushed down hills or having a teammate try to
drive under your siege mode TD to get you banned or shooting you
for full hp with a derp "because you blocked me!" or have an arty
nuke you selfishly while brawling with an enemy tank... so, calling
that idiot who's being an idiot and clearly is an idiot an idiot...
get's chat banned? hmmmm I can't believe it's gone that
sappy? eekeeboo: You can read into it all you like, what I mean is what I
said. Simply put a person being offensive, insulting is someone who
should learn they don't have the right to speak how they want to,
to another person just because there's a keyboard and monitor
between them. Just because someone does this to you, you do not be
a better person by attacking them verbally. You can reprimand
someone without using anything offensive or insulting.
HassenderZerhacker, on 21 February 2019 - 01:00 PM, said: what happens when someone insults me first and I push back
and he then reports me ? I guess the word filters are my
enemy because unlike many I can spell the bad words correctly.eekeeboo: Then you're punished accordingly as that person will be. One
act does not exclude the other act from being punished.
Rati_Festa, on 21 February 2019 - 01:16 PM, said: Yeah, I can't truly believe the "automated" checks pick much
up. I have had numerous chat bans, I only ever lose it when someone
speaks to me like crap first. The thing is this happens quite a
lot, but I never report anyone as I'm not a cry baby, I just vent
back... ,so basically the numpty who started the arguement with
someone then reports the me and then I get banned. Great
system.eekeeboo: Then don't get baited into breaking the rules.
Rati_Festa, on 21 February 2019 - 03:52 PM, said: I see what you did there very clever dropping "childish" in.
Is all arguing childish? Interesting idea I suppose, but when some
random idiot starts slagging off your femaie family members and you
say something back I don't think its childish, its standing up for
yourself. I'd suggest not saying anything back would be regarded as
being pretty spineless, is that what you do? I can't wait to
see if you start arguing with me about it eekeeboo: Not resorting to an argument is not being spineless, it
takes more confidence to know you can do something and not do it
than react because you can. 18:15 Added after 3

the ingame chat so im surprised that i just got a second... for
what? for not insulting any people in the game or what?...
sometimes the wg still able to amaze me....eekeeboo: there's nothing to stop a period of particular toxicity
catching up with you.
AliceUnchained, on 21 February 2019 - 05:44 PM, said: Interesting choice of words here, with 'cretin'. Offensive
in itself. I received a warning point for using the term 'git' not
too long ago. As for this topic, I too received a chat
suspension and Support was proud to announce to me, after first
providing a copy/paste response not at all related to the content
of my post and having to re-open 3 times, that their thorough and
careful investigation did in fact reveal I violated the rules
on February 18. Well, I haven't even played ANY games on Monday.
Re-opening the ticket once more to point that out, I just got
another copy/paste reply, re-opening again has then left me without
any response thus far. So how am I supposed to take this whole
thing seriously, in any way? I am getting the feeling we're
having that whole Unsportsmanlike Conduct fiasco all over again
(where Support insisted over and over I had done team damage 7 days
in a row, yet I had ALL replays and Replay Analyzers data to prove
otherwise).eekeeboo: And that highlights the point, thus far only one person
picking up on it. It's a term used to describe a person who's
immature and behaves in such a way regardless of scenario. The ban
doesn't need to have taken place that day, but I'm sure you can
think back to times whereby you actively insulted a person or broke
a rule.
