How would you make the game and the community better?

moderation, that takes into account context and what has happened
in the thread. What we typically see instead is warning
points given our willy nilly, often to forumites who have been
trolled to annoyance, who lash back at people who shouldn't have
even been allowed to continue posting in the first place. Mods seem
to firefight, someone reports one particular post and they come in
look at that particular post and go away again. In one example I
saw a poster who literally admitted that their whole thread was
designed to troll and annoy other forum members, and the moderator
who had clearly been in the thread at various points, actually
congratulated the OP on their topic, clearly having only read the
opening post and ignored all the insults, trolling etc. that the OP
had posted later in the thread. If a mod is coming into a 5+
page thread, they should be reading the whole thread for context
and to work out what has gone on. Or silly things like
we saw yesterday with a German mod moving a completely
non-constructive topic whining about the MM to the English forum
because it was in the wrong language section, instead of just
closing the thread. Plus I have seen plenty of
moderator responses that clearly shows they do no understand what
they have read, I have seen people given warning points for
defending WG because the mod thought they were attacking WG on
something. So the English language section needs mods who have a
high level of English language ability. eekeeboo: The moderation teamwork insanely hard, I'm not just saying
this. That if you think about the number of posts and reports and
appeals over the course of the whole forum. It's no small task to
cover everything. When accidental bans or over-the-top
responses take place, there is a chance to appeal as notified in
the warning message. I know you've all heard this before,
but the part I have to add extra is that we can't always allow or
use "common sense" because the people who get warned and punished,
don't exercise this right. With common complaints of "Why do i get
a ban if x person says the same thing here" etc. I'm
sure you remember the forum dark days too, unfortunately, to reduce
that there had to be a crackdown on the level of behaviour and
non-constructive posting then. At the same time forums are a small
part of my job and not many people are able to read and reply to as
many posts as quickly as I do (Yay for experience marking lots of
exams and student work!) The advantage of this is I'm able to run
through the forums and reply and report the posts that may be able
to cut things off before they escalate, but this is no small task
for myself or the moderation team. I hope once I/we
have revamped the forums and brought it in line with what I
envision, perhaps a lof of these issues may be addressed, as well
as making it easier for new players to navigate the forums
too! 15:34 Added after 1 minute

probably a lot of people in the community is enable crossplay and
progression across platforms. I am fed up of gaming
companies rinsing the player base for playing on different
platforms. Why can’t they run a system like Epic games where your
inventory carries over to any platform so long as you link them to
the master account. Fortnite really proved this model works
hence why they have a 200 mil player base and sounds like they will
post eye watering profits since it’s release. Their capture all
market share strategy as well as a very transparent and reasonably
priced season pass access which shows exactly what you will get and
also excellent value is a real winner. A lot lot of
gaming companies have got it wrong and probably the worst rinsing
offender is EA with FIFA but WGN is not far behind in my book.
WGN have produced a great game flawed by greed, which most
of the gaming community is worldly wise to now. They should drop
the barriers, reward those who have bought the same tanks on
multiple platforms and take a brave step into a wider gaming
world. eekeeboo: If you understood that these limitations are technological
and not just effort.
