Wargaming: Bring Back The Old World of Tanks Petition

Дата: 03.01.2019 18:16:10
View PostMr_Burrows, on 03 January 2019 - 04:06 PM, said:   WoT's real problems can be summed up in about 4 points:   1) Current MM.   2) The lack of understanding from the devs that cosmetic changes to graphics and maps with the introduction of 1.0 did not make the game better - it just made it look different. (Some maps were ruined though, like Erlenberg, Fjords and Fishermans bay, that all used to be okay maps but got the nerf hammer through the introduction of 1.0. Also some other maps were removed for no apparent reason other than... arbitrary... it at least seems so. Like Swamp, which was a perfectly okay map)   3) Arty. Just... no. I play a lot or arty, but that does not change the fact that arty and current MM are the two main things that stirr the community the most. Just introduce a in-game choice where you can disable arty games in your rotation and see what people would like to play. Do it for a week, or a month, and get the hard figures. Not impossible to do, but some or someone are too hard headed to get their heads around this simpel thing.    4) And not least: Hiring Murazor. One of the biggest mistakes from WG ever. With that person at the helm a load of bad things happened to this game, and we are still suffering the consequences and will do so for the foreseeable future. Bad move, WG. Bad move.      I totally understand the feeling OP has. I also understand the complexity in what he is asking. I do not, however, think that WG understands the depth of the problems that the four things above amounts to.  And no, I did not include "special" ammo. Oh what the frak, let us call it prem ammo despite that you, WG, want to change the name. Prem ammo is not a problem, prem ammo is a symptom solver. The problem came with massively overbuffed heavy tanks that came with... drum roll... Murazor.    I would love to gave 9.17 back. Even with the loss of XP and crews, or at least the lock down of crews trained after that. Same goes for vehicles. Because despite what you think, WG, a lot of us that still play this game feels nostalgia for the game as it used to be. Maps, vehicle stats, MM.      Ofc the above are my opinions. But it is also my truth, as I see it. And I am sadly aware that you most likely do not take this to heart, because your agenda is not the best game out there but the most revenue game out there. Or so it seems.

eekeeboo:   I answered this post with the same points in another thread.  Currently being worked on.  The changes were meant to update the game's engine and bring it to a better state of optimisation and provide additional technical opportunities. We are all aware of how limited Big World was and it had been utilised well beyond what was intended long ago. 1.0 was about a step in the right direction, not crossing the finishing line.  It's not as simple or as easy as that, if it was, it would have been done. There's more to it than just letting people opt in or out of the games like a game mode.  That's all down to personal tastes, I imagine heavy tank lovers will relish the age of super heavy tanks. Hindsight, as always is the best pair of goggles you can ever have.    I don't think you do understand what the complexity is (no offence intended here). But the fact of the matter is: Old WoT has been around since the beta, exactly which old WoT are they referring to? What mechanics, graphics and tanks. Are you saying remove all tanks before x date and all physics and engine/graphics changes. Maybe the sound changes and/or the economic changes made so you didn't need to play 25-50 games in tier 5 to play 1 tier 10 game. Or perhaps bring back the nonexistant matchmaker from the beta where tier 1 would face tier 10, maybe not that much or would prefer +/-3mm?    The above paragraph is not intended as an attack, but should hopefully highlight just some of the depth in the proposal that the OP proposal does not even begin to delve in to or consider.    Premium ammo has been in the game since the beginning as were premium consumables, they were there before super heavy armour. They were there to help you bridge a gap, are you suggesting (like above) we go back to gold only so that only clan wars players are the only reliable ones who can use them in public games?    My agenda is to help communicate between players and development team while trying to help provide the best possible experience for all players, not some, not a small demographic and certainly not to endorse ill concieved and not thought out proposals that would do more harm than good.
