World of Tanks @ Gamescom. Day 3

admin: We are halfway through and looking forward to the continuation of the expo. The atmosphere here is totally stunning, though a bit loud. Showmen at all the booths are striving to attract visitors using all means possible. T-shirts are far the most popular way to do that. Want to have a lot of people next to the stage? Just start throwing them into the crowd! This is exactly what they do at most of the booths. Although we are not an exception, T-shirts are still less popular than other giveaway goodies. Have you ever dreamt of a personal tank? You can have it at Gamescom! Expos are WoT devotees’ only chance to become an owner of a terrific gift from World of Tanks, which might seem a trifle to those who are not into the tanks. “Minipanzers” are way more called-for in comparison with more useful things, like pay-save cards and premium-accounts.

The river of gifts was endless and so was the crowd of visitors willing to try the game out or test their tank skills in the tourney. Wargaming.net managers working at the booth could hardly assist everyone. Luckily a lot of players were intending to win the laptop, so they knew exactly what they had to do and the only type of assistance they needed was noting down their XP for the best battle performed.
Funny enough, it seems we have already established a tradition here. The winner of Day 3 tournament is… the third prize-holder of the yesterday’s tourney! Jannik aka MigHunter who won a gaming set yesterday came back to win a laptop! He used KV-5 again and his result was 1990. Although the score was lower than yesterday, it became the best! Congrats to MigHunter. Will we see him again tomorrow trying to win an iPad? Talking about the latter, it is unlucky that the player to have won the iPad today hasn’t turned out for the award ceremony. Having gained 1923 XP the player with 4877 IDticket became the second prize-holder. The player to take the third place (1898 XP IDticket 5102) has also disappeared. The gaming set as well as the iPad will be patiently waiting for their owners. We do hope they will be back to the booth tomorrow. By the by, tomorrow is going to be hot! First of all, the members of Panzerknacker – the German team who won The Drill: Training Camp – have started to arrive. As you know, there’s gonna be a showmatch between the devs and the German tankmen tomorrow that will be held at ESL booth. In addition, a highly awaited event will take place in the evening. The community party where players will get a chance to talk to the developers and discuss all the burning World of Tanks issues.
