World of Tanks @ Gamescom. Day 2

admin: The further the busier! Day 2 at Gamescom started with a massive
crowd of people running through the doors of Koelnmesse to their
favorite booths. World of Tanks booth has attracted a sea of people
immediately.

Half an hour later.
The red’n’black colors of this shelter for true gamers couldn’t but be noticed from far away. Plus loud music was frequently interrupted by the showman’s tricks and treats!
The second day at Gamescom 2011 filled the Koelnmesse with thousands of players from all over the world.
All the visitors were extremely excited about getting a branded World of Tanks T-shirt, a “golden” card, a premium account or a tiny souvenir tank. The word “panzer” (German for “tank”) was heard everywhere – from the stage, from behind the computers and even far away from the booth.
The Open Tourney launch is at hand, which is sure to be much hotter than on the first ‘business’ day of Gamescom 2011.
When the showman’s performance ended, the booth babes were taking over the stage. For the male players, this was nothing but the test of will. Some of them even stopped playing to enjoyed the dancing. They were forgetting about the XP too, despite the fact it could bring them a cool gaming laptop, an iPAD or a full game set. Those are the prizes for winning the daily Open Tournament held at World of Tanks booth from 10 a.m. till 7 p.m. Curious enough, the record of the previous day was beaten during the first hour of the tourney.
The first day record was hit within 30 minutes since the start of the Tournament!
The new highest result shown in the morning was 2136 XP per battle which was achieved by the player to have chosen VK 3601(h).
In the evening, when the tournament was over it appeared that the lucky owner of XMG A701 laptop is the third-prize holder of Day I, Markuz, who's nickname is PURGAFOX: he earned 2136 experience points on his VK 3601 (H)! One can tell the runners-up tried hard to catch up with the winner judging by their results. The player to reach the second place is Moritz (nickname 'dopingman') has got 2119 XP with his PzKpfw VIB Tiger II . The third-prize holder is Jannik under the nickname MigHunter, who performed great with his KV-5 and the result was 2110 XP. The prizes for the second and third places haven’t changed. Those are still iPad 2 and Roccot game set respectively.
