Ural Steel. Final Cut

Дата: 23.06.2011 11:14:01
admin: Dear players! We present you the final photo essay, dedicated to Grand Finals of the international Ural Steel Championship. Our previous blog articles depicted daily doings, giving a quick glance at Ural Steel Championship preparations and events held on second and third day spent in Moscow. At this stage we provide you the sophisticated story of Ural Steel, full of pics provided by a World of Tanks photographer Dmitry Popok, who imported all his skill to capture and impart the spirit of might and excitement at Ural Steel.
Now this is the time for us to show you new pictures and unveil more details of this terrific event, and high time for you to feel the event once again. Or to recall all those exciting moments of meeting at the airports, visiting Red Square or seeing real steel giants in Kubinka.
The entire Championship justified its prefix "international", as players from all over the world came to Moscow to take part in the Grand Finals held by Wargaming.net: the United States, Argentina, Britain, Russia, Poland, Ireland, Israel, Sri Lanka, Chile, Germany, Ukraine and Belarus.
Moreover, each team’s players arrived to different airports and at different time, making "one flight - one team" statement impossible to use here. Three main Moscow airports: Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo welcomed our brave warriors all day and night long.

Immediately upon arrival most players went for sightseeing in Moscow. In four hours they visited Hill of Respectful Salutation, Red Square and the Vorobyovy Hills. And surely, players did not skip a single inch of picturesque places, shooting all things they could see.

An interesting aspect I would like to point out is that all Ural Steel participants stayed in the same hotel; however they all coexisted in peace helping each other greatly and sharing all they had! To cut it short, there were no cases of offense or insult and all World of Tanks tankers lived like a complete union of nations.

The highly anticipated Ural Steel Championship Day started at 7 a.m. for its participants and organizers. Although it was due to start officially at 11 a.m., the hall was almost full of visitors in half an hour before it. Guests came alone, with their spouses, with their kids or with entire teams. And all of them reacted eagerly and lively to all happening onstage. A breathless atmosphere reigned when the outcome of a battle depended entirely on a single player.

You all know the results of the Championship, but it is more interesting to listen to representatives of different game servers sharing their impressions left from Ural Steel. Thus, American tankers admitted aggressive manner of playing of Russians, while Russian players noted some interesting tactics of American and European teams. Surely, Ural Steel was a great chance for all three servers to put down challenging things which might be useful in further struggles in World of Tanks battlefields.

Last day was devoted to tank museum in Kubinka. The tankers got into buses and rushed to the real tank depot, which is certainly a dream of any WoT player.
Of course, the universal delight was the legendary MS-1. The visit to the museum expanded tankers’ vocabulary by adding a new joke that "now we know where to put the tea leaves into it." And the thing they discussed was the hatch which the crew used to get inside the tank.

And how can one describe full depth of his feelings when seeing a Maus, IS-7 or the legendary KV?

After Kubinka, part of players came back to the hotel and others went to airports, full of emotions and plans for upcoming meets in World of Tanks battlefields.
