There is a invite code, which is also called a beta key etc...
When you register to anything they often send you a email out saying please verify this is really your email, click this link which contains a validation code or verification code in it, to verify this is your email account.
And I got my key in about 5 days i think, the last time I heard someone say "they got their key in..." it was 4-5 days too.
