obtain a discount for another.
In general, you can fully refund your tanks shortly after getting them if you believe you have made a bad decision. But, when you get a tank and you keep it, you're paying for all the hours of gameplay and fun with the vehicle - that's where your resources are going, and we believe that to be fair.
Plus, it should be kept in mind that the trade-in allows people to invest resources that they may have obtained without spending in the first place, to obtain more content at advantageous conditions. It is very friendly to players that prefer to avoid money expenditure.
