It's not really a matter of math, it's the rule we
have put in place for the calculations and we have to stick to it
to keep things in order. It has its drawbacks, and I do feel your
pain about this. 
The nature of the seniority reward is this: the older
your account gets, the better stuff you'll get just by sticking
around. We do offer plenty discounts, specials and presents aimed
at new players - now it's time for the veterans to get the
spotlight and recognition. 
Small communication: we did have some problems
last year with assigning the correct rewards to each account due to
post-beta ancient server magic™ - we have worked hard and solved
everything this time around. However, if you look at what you were
awarded and still have some doubts, we have prepared
this page to help you out.
