Supertest News - Object 268 v4 changes on the Super Test

Ph3lan: Hello Tankers! The Object 268 Version 4 is one of the most discussed vehicles these days. Some people (mostly those riding it) simply love this TD, while others curse it (every time their shell doesn’t penetrate its armor). Still, everyone agrees it’s well protected and mobile. As a result, the 268 v4 is “snug as a bug in a rug” in any battle. Perhaps way too snug even. We’ve been monitoring the 268 v4 battle statistics ever since it saw release. It took some time for players to explore it, and some more time to adjust to it. After four months the statistics have stabilized and as expected by quite a few players the vehicle is overly efficient in combat. Excellent armor helps it survive long and deal more damage than it should. Mobility allows the 268 v4 to reach map sweet spots really fast, and its aiming parameters let it shoot almost right after stopping. So today we’re launching the Supertest for the Object 268 Version 4 with updated technical stats. It will keep all the characteristics traits of the original: protection, mobility, and a gun that can hit very hard at close and medium range. It just won’t be as imbalanced as it is now. How are we going to achieve this? First, we fixed the armor by weakening the vulnerable zones, because currently these don’t live to their name: when you hit a hatch or the lower front plate of the 268 v4, the chance of penetration is too low. So the commander hatches and the LFP of the Supertest version will get thinner. It doesn’t mean you can score a damaging hit every time though. Second, we dialed back the mobility and the aiming parameters a bit. The specific power gets lowered by 10%, and the aiming time extends to 2.3 seconds. To compensate, the hull traverse dispersion goes down a bit. We understand the 268 v4 is popular with the community because it offers fun and dynamic gameplay. We’ll do our best to keep the gameplay while making the balance more fair.This is the first Supertest round so the Object 268 Version 4 may be tweaked in future, and its stats may change further, depending on the results.
