(me) have spent money on tanks (camo, crew training etc) and loved
the tank which now no longer can play the same or earn the same.
5916 or 54 light for example both dmg doing AND spotting capability
are nerfed, 30m down on 5916 with all modifiers and I now have tier
8 mediums and heavies running better viewrange than my 54 light.
These are significant changes in a finely tuned game. I'll give it
a go but I worry these vehicles will no longer do it for me and
that is wasted money, time and a material loss.Ph3lan: First of all thanks for give it a try and keeping an open
mind. Nothing is set in stone as far as balance changes go, so once
you tried them out and you still feel that you are not
satisfied, let us know in the feedback. This is the best way for us
to let the devs know that something is not working as it
should.

have over a dozen in my garage I was about to sell and buy more
mediums but might wait a while if there is some chance that they
will be restored to something resembling a competitive level. I
can't even bring myself to look at my ELC at the moment as playing
the crippled version on the NA sever was so depressing.Ph3lan: I have to admit that I am not a big light tanks player, but
that might change after the update. For me at least, the changes
address the biggest issue I had with lights before the patch, so
now I will give them a go (and no this is not just marketing talk
). The ELC was my favorite light
before the patch and I haven't played it yet, but I think it should
still be pretty good (it was a "bit" on the OP side before imho).

playing the new LTs as they are completely inferior to MTs in every
way shape and form. I will be playing arty, but I'm worried that
they will have become just too effective. Also, I just want
to say, it's very nice to see a developer looking at the forums. I
really hope that there can be more discussion between us. Ph3lan: My advice is to try them out even if they seem inferior on
paper. Looking at the stats (or even their performance on the test
server) is one thing but how they actually handle in-game can be
very different. As lahavre pointed it out above, WoT is a fine
tuned system and small things can make a big difference. Something
that you wouldn't even notice from the stats could mean that the
lights are way better than they seem on paper. The worst thing that
can happen is that you still have negative feedback about them, but
it will be negative feedback based on actual experience
"Also, I just want to say,
it's very nice to see a developer looking at the forums. I really
hope that there can be more discussion between us." I'll be
trying to be more active here in the future. Just to clarify, I am
not a "Developer". I am part of the community team in the EU
office. We are in contact with the developers though and can serve
as liaisons between them and you guys.
