been a better patch than this. RIP WoT.Ph3lan: I am a bit perplexed about this and similar replies. This
patch introduces a lot of changes that you guys have been asking
for. Revamped Match Making, which addresses one of the most
frequent complaints I read on the Forums/Social Media and in-game.
I would argue that the MM is such a hotly debated topic that no
matter what changes we announce it is impossible to make
everyone happy mostly because everyone had their own idea about how
it should be fixed. The current implementation is how our
developers envisioned the new MM and I would argue that they have a
better understanding of how it works then the average player
(including myself). This is something that we have to try out,
probably for several weeks, before we can come to any relevant
conclusions. As I mentioned in my fist post, let's try it out, with
an open mind, and once you have some experience with it, let us
know what you think.
Light tanks: Another area which was in need of a major revamp. Not only did we change a lot of existing lights, but we also introduced a ton of new content into the game. This is a game changer for lights and affects the entire game. Personally I am much more excited about how this will affect gameplay overall, and I am less worried about the balancing aspects, which can be easily tweaked. As before, these are pretty huge changes and we (the players) need to get comfortable with the new state of the game before jumping the gun on condemning the changes.
Arty changes: This is huge and absolutely exciting in my opinion. It is also right there with the Match Making when it comes to the amount of complaints we have seen on all our channels. And this patch addresses it in a way that might be different from how you would solve the arty problem, but that doesn't mean it is not the right solution. (See my MM comment above, the same applies here). Overall, this patch addresses many of the hottest issues in the game and all this changes all affect each other. We can try to come up with thought-experiments about how it will work, but the best thing we can do is try out this new state of the game and see how it plays. It seems quite a few of you agree with me (taken from the first couple of pages):

negativity. I mean, sure the new arty mechanics could use some fine
tuning, but the update isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be.Ph3lan:

was out in NA server I've been in their forum pages and the
reaction was almost as it is on EU server. Two weeks later the
opinions are not so bad after all. Lets wait and see. Chill
out. Ph3lan:
