Now clearly you were just relaying what you had been told by others, and had asked the wrong programmers. That's what I meant by lack of knowledge management, the apparent difficulty you had in finding out for yourselves "what does our product actually do?" - happens in most quickly growing companies. Ensuring that the proverbial left hand still knows what the right hand is doing in quickly growing teams requires an extra bit of effort and organization that isn't needed when the team is still small and everybody just knows who to ask or what's going on.
Given that situation, you asking for a screenshot here rather than "upstairs", as was suggested, is indeed the faster way to go about it.
