Asides of that, you could really have avoided all this, if you had only informed your players in advance.
And it is not the first time, information is found to be misleading and wrong, is it?

communication here is quite friendly and easy going even though
tempers can heat up, we are still chatting in the forum.
I am sure that nobody will feel offended by this. And since you are a CS veteran I don't need to explain to you that sometimes mistakes happen. I am sure you are familiar with this.
