Geno1isme, on 10 November 2017 - 03:15 PM, said: Yeah, and that's one of the issues actually: - Many of the
top spots will be occupied by the same people, so the 144k price
positions won't equal 144k players by far. More likely it will be
20-40k players. I'd have added a limit on the number of categories
one could participate to say 5-10, that way the registration would
also make some sense (right now it seems like a totally redundant
extra step) - Premium time and boosters are soft rewards that
aren't really tangible as they only enhance future results. Also as
premium time starts automatically a single day is often wasted when
people can't play the day after the rewards are distributed. A
premium tank, gold, bonds, Free-XP, consumables, credits and so on
on the other hand are tangible as they are directly credited to the
account and can be used/spent without further effort. That's why
the EU rewards feel rather lackluster compared to what you can get
at the NA or Asia events. It's less about the amount but the type
of rewards since you replaced gold rewards with XP boosters. Would
it really be such a horrible decision for you to just replace the
premium days with say 150 gold each? That alone would make this
event already much more interesting. TBH, given the
passive nature of this I'm not even sure I'd call this an "event".
Practically it's just register once, don't bother about it for the
duration, then watch at the end what you got. Don't get me wrong, I
think this is better than a marathon with daily missions or so. But
without direct feedback on progress it won't really trigger any
emotions.MrConway: I do understand the part about the rewards and I'll make
sure to bump that feedback up the line for next time. We did
however improve the system since the top tankers event, so you can
actually check your standing directly in the game client with
results updated every hour!
SirBushman, on 10 November 2017 - 03:14 PM, said: I am truly amazed. Why? Because not joining the event is supposed
to be a sign of our protest. And the protest is about way more
important things that just the event and inequalities in a way the
WG treats Communities. MrConway - any comments to the
3 points I wrote?MrConway: You made many posts so I am not sure which three points you
mean, please let me know. And honestly, declining to
participate in this event seems like a weird kind of protest as all
you will be doing is depriving yourself of potential rewards you
would have received for playing. Either way, if you
participate or not, we will be forwarding the feedback you have
raised here to our developers.
