complaining how about some ideas on how WG can do something that
the good player will not dominate, thats the real problem.MrConway: This! The nature of competitions is that they are
competitive, as such the most competitive players are likely to
invest the most energy in winning. We frequently have
missions where you can earn rewards just by grinding, in a
competition this defeats the purpose.
Dexatroph, on 25 October 2016 - 08:49 AM, said: First of all this is a nice competition. I like to see that every
vehicle has its own rating and that we can see ingame our rating
for any vehicle. @WG Why did you allow platoons? I
already see fail platoons even like tier6 scouts what platoon with
other tier6 tanks just to bring them into high tier matches to
farm lots of xp. Does any "ban", even when not related
to the event, result in an exclusion from the event?MrConway: Since this is such a big event, we didn't want to discourage
team play for an entire month, this would discourage players from
either participating in the event or make the game less enjoyable
for them.
TheMoust, on 25 October 2016 - 10:15 AM, said: Will EU players get the opportunity to choose alternative prize
tanks like RU players?MrConway: We don't have any plans in this regard.
Denis022, on 25 October 2016 - 10:34 AM, said: Example> What if I get in top 10 in lets say
Challenger, but by the end of event I sell that crap and buy
Charioteer? Is my prize earned by Challenger still counted? MrConway: Example> What if I get in top 10 in lets say Challenger,
but by the end of event I sell that crap and buy Charioteer? Is my
prize earned by Challenger still counted? Yes, your
result for any tank will be saved.
Jagodinac1, on 25 October 2016 - 12:06 PM, said: Another question. What if u win a prize tank that you allready have
in your garage?MrConway: I will find out and get back to you, I am not sure if the
compensation will be gold or credits.
GreenViking, on 25 October 2016 - 01:20 PM, said: You are still not answering the question... If you play 3
battles in say the Hellcat... play 2 in a KV-1S and then 2 more in
the Hellcat.... Do the 5 games in the Hellcat count. Or do you need
to play the 5 games in a single tank uninterupted. If you
look at the event rules here -> http://worldoftanks....ers_2016_rules/ IT states the
following The series of battles fought in the vehicle is not
interrupted by fighting battles in another vehicle. That to me is a
big turn off... as you possibly have to wait around for a game to
finishMrConway: You don't, tracking is done separately for each tank, you
can play as many different games in other tanks as you like.
Jagodinac1, on 25 October 2016 - 01:41 PM, said: Thanx. But there is one more thing I do not understand. "You
can battle for victory in any vehicle available to you. If you
reach top positions in several vehicles, you will earn rewards for
each of the vehicles. However, you will only earn one award, which
corresponds to the highest Class you've managed to reach at the end
of the event." quote from the http://worldoftanks.eu/en/content/docs/top_tankers_2016_rules/
So, only the highest series of xp u got from a certain tank
is counted for a reward in that tanks tier OR there are
rewards for each tank (which sounds like science fiction - to be in
top 100 players in ,for example, 10 tier 6 vehicles, will bring 10
rewards in tier 6?)??? In other words, I can play 5 battles
series in multiple tier 6 tanks but only the best series is
counted for rewards. Is this right or not? PS Having dozens
of tanks from tier 6 and up in the garage, this
competition will be very tempting for me... MrConway: Yes, only the highest series for a tank is counted, you can
never make your result worse. And yes there are rewards
for every tank from tier VI+ (rare tanks excluded) and
you can earn as many rewards as you like. You will however
be receiving only one medal for your best placement overall.
