A moderators job...

is their job to moderate people who should behave better than they
do behave and arrange the posts so they are in the right places. If
sometimes a moderator can discover what is happening, such as chat
downtime, then that is a bonus, not an expectation, and we should
be thankful for that. But yes, WG's interaction with the
player base is appalling, but given the hostility of some players I
can see why they wouldn't want to get into a direct slanging match.
My guess would be if people could moderate their own reactions to
match some form of civilised behaviour then WG may be more
willing to have a civilised conversation. But given the extreme
reactions by players to almost any small grievance I can't
imagine that ever happening.Kandly: 1st: You're right. Our moderators simply moderate,
that is their job and I think it's strange for anyone to
assume otherwise. Looking up "moderator" or "moderate" on
Google could easily clarify this. Announcements are usually done by
us in the appropriate forum section (or in topics
regarding specific issues). 2nd: I'm sorry you feel that
way, but I'd like to clear something up: It has never been our
choice to interact with the community in this way and we do
the best we can with what we have. I can assure you of that.
We actually enjoy being part of this community.
