Supertest News: SPG Tier VI with Stun mechanics
Дата: 05.03.2017 15:56:59
Kandly: Commanders, We are glad to announce another twist for testing
SPGs and their new role in-game. This time, to perform a
multi-level tuning of this type of vehicles, the testing was
divided into two stages:
• Tier X vehicles, including brand-new light tanks;
• Tier VIII-X vehicles. To accelerate the processes (including vehicles tuning), we launch the Supertest concomitantly, where low-tier SPGs will go through the analogues testing process.
Important: Your feedback on Sandbox testing is critical when making the final decision on SPG characteristics and mechanics, while the Supertest is particularly crucial for technical adjustment of SPGs, to fit the current concept. Only by processing and analyzing the information from both sources we will be able to make the best decision. What is the object of testing?
What we think is that the gradual approach is the best way to implement the modified SPG mechanics: as we proceed in studying the vehicles, from lower to higher tier. For example, only SPG vehicles that have a researchable 150-mm guns in the Tech Tree will be able to use the stun mechanics when fighting against enemy vehicles. For these vehicles, we will implement a transient mode for new mechanics: reduction of damage and the simultaneous increase of shell burst radius will be insignificant. In fact, these will present the same old-versioned vehicles, except for the reduced damage characteristics and added stun mechanics. Additionally, their view range characteristics will be also modified. How will it look in battle?
To achieve the smooth adaptation of players to these new mechanics, the following rules will be established during testing:
1. The minimum stun duration will be set to 5 seconds (for SPGs of all tiers).
2. As for the guns, which are the first in the Tech Tree to receive stun mechanics, it was decided to add a transitional variant: a stun duration of 7–8 seconds.

You are always welcome to share your
opinion on the new features below — it is always essential
to us! Kandly
