The OP quotes a mod from another thread, the mods are annoyed
at being commented on and so one of them edits the post to

are several near-red shades in the palette. Am I allowed to
use Brown ? What about Maroon ? Is light maroon OK ? What about

trips just because we have Moderator rights here on the Forum.
There are just rules on this Forum which we have to follow and
enforce. As I've mentioned more then once if you have any questions
concerning moderation you are free to contact us directly, I'd
gladly answer whenever I have the time since the Forums and other
social media are there for communicating with our player base.
As far as the use of colored font goes, well it is there to distinguish some statements and for not impersonating staff members. Yes I know basically everyone can use, its Forum software... We appreciate some constructive feedback and I guess a Thread about the Forum once in a while won't hurt but this here is not the case.
