Are the contest results really checked?

I saw a guy got banned for making high score in his BT-2 because he platooned with tier 10 and literally just got lucky.

I also see they do these kind of high scores on RU server and it is allowed.

Fortunately, I save my replays, so I can prove that I don't cheat if I were to make such a score.

I know a lot of people don't understand how such a high exp score can be made, but it to give a short answer, it can be made for lower tier either through damaging higher tier tanks or just getting ten times the amount of spotting damage you would usually - look at RU competition results.
