WoT heading full speed in the same wall as WoW
Дата: 08.09.2021 16:22:44
First, until recently the preference of wargaming in
rewarding unicums although done without subtility was
just in the shape of OP tanks in the hands of very skilled players,
now since the latest wasting of the arties, the pathetic
attempts at crew 2.0 and the recent clan wars it's almost a punch
in the balls that WG inflicts to the average players of less
competitive or experienced clans and shows that the game is moving
to favour power play and unicums over anyone else.
Until now, as many you-tubers have underlined it very well, the nerf of the HE and the wasting of the arty had nothing to do with improving games play but it's just the answer to crybabies in their chieftain and obj279e upset to be damaged and focused in their already op tanks. An incredibly simple solution was to reduce the number of arty to one max two per game, sorted... But no, of course it was done in the worst possible manner, still not satisfying anyone as the very same babies are still upset by arty shots and the numbers have not really reduced throughout games.
Crew 2.0, aside from a handful of power players this will just mean wasting more time to rearrange optimized tank crews into soon to be poor tanks, not to mention the insult to all vet players that have spent hours, gold, money, and fulfilling missions to create their ideal crew. Will WG compensate for this loss, I think not. But it's ok, unicums in their op tanks will enjoy more seal clubbing tiers 10 battle with their 70% active cammo ebr105, teleporting Chieftain, no RNG snipping grille15... Again if you want to see how overpowered those guys will become and how much they will ruin your games check you-tubers reviews, they did a great job and thanks to what has happened to WoW it's now on standby (but that doesn't mean it's gone).
Killing the game spirit as well, the recent clan war has been absolutely not enjoyable at all, between pathetic unfair-play Clans reducing on purpose their ranking prior to the start of the event to face weaker clans while fielding T95/chieftains, obj 907 and obj279e (I can name and shame a few that we faced, faking being our level and a week later having a rating back up by +200/300), the mm that has you face a clan ranking 200/300 above you (worse matching seen 1500 clan fighting a 750 clan, please do explain me the fun in that), and clans fielding 11xT95/chieftains aside from being raped 0/15 what can you hope for against that. (But it's ok, somewhat FFA trains to endure raping defeats), yet even WOW has understood the need of limiting OP ships in clan wars (in tiers VI only but still). You then add insult to injury, one could have hoped that as you painfully grind your fame and scraps components through battles in the futile hope to may be build a tiers 7 tanks, the team in WG would have been kind enough to consider that should you not manage to build anything during this clan war, and since you are in a bloody clan member, you could at least from a clan war to another keep/store your raw material and to some point after months/years, you could have the satisfaction of owning an uncommon decent tank, but no, not even there does WG respects its community. No, the war is over. The cleaner goes into your garage and dumps everything from your garage into the bin... Off you go, wasted again (154 scraps, 68 metal, 82 non ferrous and 56 parts... all gone to the bin, I was just a few battles short to achieve the tank FFS!!!). Now, when you are a very good player you don't have to worry about this, you will do enough battles, winning enough scraps and fame to get something at the end of the clan war. Ok, last but not least, the bidding for unique tanks, again, no worries for big clans players, if they don't get the automatic rewards they will still be good enough players that will have been able to farm bonds through many events, the others can just cry, through their regular grinding of missions they may have gathered 30K/40K bonds that will never be close enough to get anything interesting, thus increasing the huge gap between top clans with OP tanks and smaller clans with FFA and barely meta tanks.
Unfortunately WG is focusing on turning PCs systems into console games systems. The key thing that WG is totally missing is that the PC players base want to play a "Tank FPS" not a bloody "Mario kart game" as you get it on console, age is different, Players' background is different, which part of that after 10 years in the industry have you not understood yet? This is the way the games is heading to, wheeled nonsense vehicles, Gatling auto loaders, boosted by the terrain modifications (great idea for richer people so use more material) and all that likely to be worsen at some point by the pathetic one man army crew 2.0
Well, the very sad things that one WoT veteran can see is that the cancer of incompetence and poor choices is spreading, one may think that this is solely WoT PC issue but no, WoW is also in the middle of a s***storm with CC resigning, seriously, managing to have CC with all their advantages to resign is a sort of achievement don't you think? Nerfing CV, introducing submarines, silly ships like Missouri WoT players does that ring any bells to you? The same thing comes over and over, WG claims they listen and respect everyone but at the end of the day, they don't give a flying shoe about one's experienced piece of feedback, the CCs are learning it as I write this.
Goodness me, I saw the review of the new premium heavy English auto reloading heavy with 950dmg/shot a dispersion and aiming time that would have an arty player look like a sniper. Aside from coming up with multishooters (autoreload, barillet etc...) can you actually go back to making a real Tank Game !!!! Time to get your stuff together and solve, listen to the players not to cry babies unicums, even better how about YOU PLAY THE GAME YOURSELF would it just be to see how much of the shadow of its former self it has become? I always say it but you can't pride yourself or being the best when you are the only one, you know.
HeatResistantBFG: So as someone who gathers feedback on a pretty much daily basis and
spends a fair bit of time trying to find ways to improve our
feedback collection and how we gather it, I can assure you the win
rate of the player doesn't come into it. The statement that good
play gets rewarded has an obvious truth in that when there are
competitive events, good players will win but that we balance
around good players is a fallacy and my best proof is while
gathering feedback I will see just as many "WG need to stop
balancing around and taking just the opinions of bad players" as
"WG need to stop balancing around and just taking opinions of good
players", so if both think we're basing it on the other and overall
people like it, then I'd consider it a job well done.
Until now, as many you-tubers have underlined it very well, the nerf of the HE and the wasting of the arty had nothing to do with improving games play but it's just the answer to crybabies in their chieftain and obj279e upset to be damaged and focused in their already op tanks. But no, of course it was done in the worst possible manner, still not satisfying anyone as the very same babies are still upset by arty shots and the numbers have not really reduced throughout games.
HeatResistantBFG: HE wasn't nerfed it was changed, HE now is much more reliable to
pen from sides or rears when aimed in the right places but you can
no longer just fire and know you'll do high damage and get random
fires. Arty still works, it hasn't wasted away... it's not as
strong as it has been in the past but it's one of the most
universally liked changes, ideally, we would want all players to be
happy with a change but the reality is that isn't possible so
"most" will have to do.
A cap on arty is anything but simple, the more rules you add to the matchmaker the longer queue times (for everyone, not just arty) get and the more deviation you will get when the rules can't be met. What rules should be dropped to ensure 2 arties? Perhaps a return of a side with more tier 10s but less tier 9s and more tier 8s? Or one side with 4 heavies and the other with 1? These are all things that have been the case in the past and would be again with stricter rules, and again, longer queue times (even if you or a few friends say they are willing to sit in longer queues for "better" games, it's not true, most people aren't willing to in reality). Not satisfying anyone? I would say the arty change was one of the most popular changes in recent times, and the HE changes are also pretty well received... think you are mistaking your (and perhaps your cliques) opinion for that of all others.

HeatResistantBFG: How exactly does 6th sense/arty 6th sense for all and no sub
100% crews benefit exclusively unicums? Also, as already pointed
out, it's on sandbox to be tested and we have been openly saying
the skills are not final yet... And I think you don't
understand the term "seal clubbing", seal clubbing would be
something like playing a huge number of games in a low tier tank
where you mostly face new players to boost your stats... can't
really do that in tier 10, perhaps tier's 3-5, tier 7 at a push but
realistically tier 5 and below.
Killing the game spirit as well, the recent clan war has been absolutely not enjoyable at all, between pathetic unfair-play Clans reducing on purpose their ranking prior to the start of the event to face weaker clans while fielding T95/chieftains, obj 907 and obj279e (I can name and shame a few that we faced, faking being our level and a week later having a rating back up by +200/300), the mm that has you face a clan ranking 200/300 above you (worse matching seen 1500 clan fighting a 750 clan, please do explain me the fun in that), and clans fielding 11xT95/chieftains aside from being raped 0/15 what can you hope for against that. clans with FFA and barely meta tanks. A good clan using S.Conqs
will still very much likely beat a not as good clan using
chieftains, how much the tank makes a difference usually only
becomes a thing in the top 0.1% or so. And in terms of the rest of
this, it's like saying that you entered into a 100m race and when
everyone else finished you were at 80m's, so it would be only fair
that we let you start there next time... No. This is a thing to
reward the high level of play, if you don't win then you don't win.
It's that simple, it isn't meant to be for everyone. Anyone can
enter/be involved but that doesn't stop some skill being required
to get the rewards. And as already said, if you want to buy
stuff in the auction save up and do so, no one is stopping you.

2.0 Have you played console? WoT and WoTc were near-identical until
1.0 and then consoles 6.0, since then they have continued to move
further and further apart, the games have never been further apart
than right now honestly. And again, crew 2.0... the thing that
changed with player feedback while still in sandbox and then is
being looked into again and pushed back based on player
feedback... This is like saying you don't want to buy a house on
earth because of the plans to colonize Mars... it's a long way off
and may not even happen, and if it does we have no idea how it'll
look.
HeatResistantBFG: So going to guess you don't play WoWs either
So the Missouri has been in WoWs
for years, it was added in December 2016, the issue was the method
of reintroduction for it after it was removed with the only
tier 9 silver multiplier (STRV K has a tier 8 multiplier, same as
the rest of the tier 9 WoWs prems), tier 9 premiums are in Warships
and are actually liked overall. They aren't considered overpowered,
they didn't take away from tier 8s and even though at first
some players were worried they quickly accepted and liked tier 9
premiums. Hopefully, this is what happens with WoT, and tier 9
allows for more options and unique tanks to enter the game. Subs
I'm sure are a complicated thing to add and they are years into
slowly testing them, but WoT has no plans to add a new class like
this so it really has no parallels. Nerfing CVs? The initial CV
rework was YEARS ago and was designed to make the class more
accessible to all players and bring their performance in line
with other ships, some players have been unhappy with this success
as it means you see CVs more often even if they have far less
impact on the game (good CV players use to easily have 80-90%
win rates). This is near polar opposite to, as I assume you are
comparing, arty changes, where it's been overwhelmingly approved
of. Including by those YouTubers who you told us to listen too
And then with the CCs, well
I can promise you I talk to them more than you
And obviously, sometimes they can
be frustrated as they can highlight things of concern and a change
not be made but I would think that overall they think we listen to
their concerns and take them into account, as is shown with the
daily interactions I have with them as well as the QnAs they do
from time to time with the Dev team. Again you are putting your own
thoughts down as someone else's. Given some of what you have
said it could very well be you feel that your opinion is invalid
unless it is shared by a mass of others, and it's worth pointing
out again this is really not the case. When myself and Dwigt (for
EN, other CMs for dif regions) go through feedback we don't look at
players stats, we don't care if they are normally someone who is
very negative, we don't care if they have broken English... what we
can about is their feedback. We spend an enormous amount of time
going through feedback from all platforms and compiling it as best
we can to make sure we pass on the voices of our players, not any 1
group, just our players in all their forms.

HeatResistantBFG: Funny a number of people said the Caliban is exactly what a premium
should be, not powerful, but unique and different and therefore
"interesting". Also worth mentioning that it was a Supertest tank,
many of which never make it to the game and even the Caliban has
received 3? changes on Supertest since that announcement, so again
judging on a "first" ST announcement is really jumping the gun
again. And again, we listen to the player, but they don't always
agree with you.. And in terms of the meme of "play your own game",
well the CM team here has more than 100k battles between us, and
over at CIS (where most of the Dev Team are) they have
multiple full clans of only active players (so 400-500+ ) so that's
pretty easily dismissed too. Then the list,
1 MM +/-1 no more, people will wait if this means nicer games and funnier games. If this was entirely the case then people would near exclusively play pref mm tanks. I personally think the MM is in the best state it has ever been, but we can always improve it and we know that it's a heavily highlighted area of feedback, so we are sure to pass this on
2 Stop the bs of the RNG -25% this
will solve so many issues, especially if you want fast and furious
battles 12 RNG is a great equaliser, if you want to tip the scales
more towards the unicums then this would probably help with that
quite a lot. 3 Bring back the arty the way it was,
reduce their number to 0~2 max per game, reduce or even remove stun
we couldn't care less, dump the fake apcr that never ever pens
anything. No on arty, you are very much in the minority here. Stun
is reduced currently, so why go back to make a change already done?
Also, "fake APCR"? APCR is very much a real thing and was very much
a higher penetration round, I'm also not aware of a single arty
that gets APCR. 4 Nerf the non sense ebr with significantly
reducing speed after hitting the wheels, we play world of TANKS not
bloody Mario kart. This is already a thing. You really seem to have
a thing for Mario Kart
5 Take the crew 2.0 to the trash
compactor and give the job of is creator to a more competent and
actually playing staff or to the guys that make your video, these
guys are skilled. Crew 2.0 had a lot of good things in it, as
anyone can see, for now it has been taken back to the drawing board
based on player feedback. 6 Make OP clan wars tanks available for
one year to the winners and then move them to become accessible to
any participants. I mean, they were available to any participant...
you just had to perform well enough... Kinda defeats the point of a
reward tank if there is no reward about it, surely? Also, none of
the reward tanks offered currently are overly meta, 907 is but can
be replaced by other things pretty easily. 7 Make sure that earned
scraps/metal and other tanks building components stay available in
the players garage door as long as they play within the clan,
therefore showing that you respect your gamer. That has nothing to
do with respect, this is the event, it is a timed event and you
complete it or you don't. It's really that simple. 8 Sort out the
clan battles in a league or division and give penalties to clans
under-performing before clean wars (got a list of you want) You say
"clan battles" but have talked about aspects of strongholds and
global maps, they are not the same thing. I don't really see how
your idea of leagues would solve anything either, and punishing
people based on an opinion is a terrible path to go down. Clas has
a bad season or a few key members inactive during one period and
then comes back and we should punish them for not being super
consistent? 9 Make low tiers game interesting again and stop
pushing tomatoes into rushing to tiers VIII and above (don't even
get me started with that Tier IX premium) so everyone can enjoy
their games. No, tiers X games are not fun, they are the worst and
the most prone to raping/get rapped 0-15/15-0 results. Belarus may
like that but we are not Belarus thanks for understanding the
cultural difference. We added "new player" MM recently, designed to
stop newer players from being seal clubbed by players with 10s of
thousands of battles playing thousands of battles at low tiers,
this was something that would make low tiers more interesting for
those new players, I could perhaps see how this would make it less
interesting for those seal clubbers... but that's something I think
most are okay with. To state "tier 10 games are not fun" is your
opinion and is a terrible reason to make mass changes over, I
personally play tier 8 and up, and am not interested in anything
below that, does that mean we should completely ignore low tiers
now? 10 Expand black list to 10k. It's badly needed, you are the
ones responsible for the aggressive atmosphere by creating op tanks
to an elite, unbalanced MM, pathetic RNG and idiotic map starting
position, when I started this game people would wish everyone luck,
Polish players would even say "Siema". Bringing that one back is
your responsibility by creating a fun environment, currently, it is
not the players fault it is yours entirely. I'm not even sure I
need to comment on this, the irony is too obvious. But I'll add
that when I first played WoT back in 2013/2014, in my first 100
battles I lost count of how often people wished horrible things on
me and my family all while being high win rate and purple (aka it
wasn't like I was playing bad), since joining WG in November 2020
and playing regularly again I haven't had anywhere near the abuse,
not even had any once actually (tempting fate lol), nevermind as
much as there was back then. So just as anecdotally as you, I can
say with some surety that the chat has never been friendlier...
This is sort of backed up too with people complaining how easily
they get banned in chat for saying things. 11 Bring back all the
old maps, you have 40+ maps, the rotation is pathetic , some maps
are hard to get on purpose, and since the latest patch in 10 games
you get 3 times the same maps, really? Over 40 maps to pick
from..... Maps are being reworked and new maps brought in, 2
reworks and 1 new map in recent patches. As well as Recon Mode to
test out and help refine new maps for the game. 12 And FFS
stop your non sense with all auto reloading/barillet, you
can't come up with a new tank that doesn't have this option There
have been a few "burst" based new tanks recently, but if you think
about the new lines and the flavour of their nations it really
shouldn't be surprising? CZ with their autoloaders with short
inter clip and ITA with their autoreloaders. Any new lines
would obviously shift this away and we'll have to see what the
future brings (not some sorta sly hint, I also look forward to
seeing what the future brings!). To stop this being such a
huge Wall-O-Text I tried to format it a bit nicer, hopefully
doesn't look too weird.

WoT heading full speed in the same wall as WoW
