HeatResistantBFG: Not really sure what you took an issue with here, apologies
if you didn't like the joke. But my point remains that even if we
wanted to tell you something until we can, it won't be said. My
point was more of that to save you time and effort. We know players
want it back, and there are plans in place but as always they are
subject to change. I didn't treat you with any
hostility, I don't feel your reply was overly validated.


HeatResistantBFG: I feel like it was meant to be a little insulting, but as he
is now a senior staff and widely known through the community (that
is his job) it's kinda a compliment i really don't think I've
earned at this point. As pointed out, I'm still quite new and
walking in the footsteps of names like Ectar and Eek is always
gonna be a big shadow.

HeatResistantBFG: Neither did I, but perhaps they took my joke in a way
unintended. So it's better to give the benefit of the doubt and
give a chance for an explanation before we all start casting stones
and what not.

HeatResistantBFG: That's a hell of an interpretation and absolutely nowhere
near reality. We will say something when we can, you know... NDA's,
Job contract? Until we know Frontlines is ready to go back out it
would be foolish of us to say "yup, it's coming X" only for it to
be cancelled due to something we didn't foresee. So I'm going
"Ronseal" (google it, British joke) on this, I meant exactly what I
said and nothing more. You are entitled to feel how you
like, but don't attribute words and actions to me I did not say or
do. This is you looking for a reason to be angry because you want
the mode you like back, I get it. But if it's stressing you out
this much, perhaps a break from the game is what you need. I'd
rather you didn't play for X and then came back all happy for
Frontlines than spent X all stressed and what not just waiting.
I've been a player a lot longer than staff, and I often look
forward to when I can share news with players they will like
because I know I was looking forward to it too.

A bit harsh. I have plenty of disagreements with the Community Team and I feel they could do better, but their job isn’t to provide solutions or clarifications for us (which I feel is the role of good customer service) but to release and manage whatever information WG want to push out. They are not useful to us because WG does not want them to be useful to us. That can sometimes be perceived as insulting / patronising / arrogant etc. but that is the result of the way WG works, not the fault of the people in the community team.
HeatResistantBFG: Agree with we could do better, I want to talk more on the
forums. But nothing I said was meant to be any of the 3 terms you
used, I can promise you that
And in terms of usefulness,
I'd like to think the many hours we spend reading everyone's
feedback and sending off up the chain is at least somewhat useful,
no matter how many times we read that we don't read it lol.
